Treatment will start with a full facial assessment. Here you will have the opportunity to explain the areas that you would like to improve. The results you wish to achieve will determine the depth of injection and the consistency of the filler jel that is used.
Superficial injections just under the surface level of the skin with soft density filler are ideal for ironing out fine lines, hydrating sagging skin and giving radiance. Injecting into the soft tissue with a slightly firmer gel will work better for smoothing out deeper creases and wrinkles. Deep injections with firm gels will create volume and shape to the face, ideal for giving definition or plumping the lips.
Once the injection sites have been established a numbing cream is applied to the appropriate zones. The treatment area and size will determine whether a needle or a cannula is the right tool for the job. In either case, there is very little discomfort other than the sensation of pressure as the tip is inserted into the skin.
Treatment time will depend on the areas that are being worked on but will typically last between 30-40 mins.
You may feel some pressure, you may feel a little discomfort, but the treatment should not hurt. An anaesthetic cream is applied to the injection site area prior to administration and the fillers themselves are also mixed with a local anaesthetic for added comfort.
